After 2008's 'The Eagle's Revenge,' All the Way Rider lost guitarist and co-founder Bill Collins to a cross-country move. The band decided to forge on as a three piece. The change obviously created more space in the music, but also opened up room for them to fill with more rhythm and a greater emphasis on bass melody. Writing 'City of Champions' was an 18-month process of songwriting, rewriting, rehearsing and reworking a two-guitar band into a classic power trio. The result is 11 songs with purpose, rhythm, tone and a message. Sonically, All the Way Rider is a mixture of their classic and '90s alt-rock heroes and contemporary indie brethren.
