We're excited to have worked with legendary Detroit garage revivalists the Hysteric Narcotics to release Avec Fromage, a collection of some of their finest tracks, stemming back to 1985. Though only self-releasing one full-length LP in 1986 (Batteries Not Included), the group preceded and followed it's release with a string of now-classic singles. Mike Murphy, the defacto leader of the group, was formerly a member of The Boners and The Denizens, two bands who were instrumental in Detroit's art-punk community. By joining the Paisley Underground movement, the Narcotics quickly cemented an immense fanbase in and around Detroit that continues to this day.We approached the group a while back and got the gears turning on this LP, which could most succinctly be described as a greatest hits collection. Murphy handed over two full CDs full of outtakes and unreleased material and we culled over and dragged out the essential tracks.
