"Banileue Records boss Benoit B lands on Wisdom Teeth with four dazzling new-age steppers. The record follows on the Japonaiserie EP (2017). On Vague À L'âme, the melodic ideas developed on Japonaiserie are set to work against broken beats and UK-leaning rhythms. The EP is bookended by a pair of euphoric broken-beat rollers: first, the melodic bleeps and weighted kicks of the title track; and to close, the scuzzy pads and glissando synths of ""Kimono"". Sat between them are two lean, smoky half-steppers: the record's vocal centerpiece, ""Gyvenimo Tėkmė"" (featuring Dália), and ""Ice Valley"", an intergalactic slow jam."
