Limited 180 gm vinyl LP pressing of this cult album from the English singer/songwriter, originally released in 1996. This release was the closest Lal Waterson ever got to a solo release during her lifetime; recorded with and produced by her son, Oliver Knight. Haunting, otherworldy and sometimes disquieting, Waterson's songs are like a missing link between Anne Briggs and Joanna Newsom. The album has acquired semi-legendary status among some in the 'nu' folk community. Lal Waterson died in September 1998 at the age of 55, midway through recording a follow-up. At First She Starts, Flight of the Pelican, Stumbling on, How Can I Leave, Altisidora, Dazed, Phoebe, Cornfield, Midnight Feast, So Strange Is Man, Wilson's Arms, Her Snow White Gown, Some Old Salty
