British left-field artist John Cohen, aka Dead Fader, returns to Parachute. The original material from Jenny 153 (PAR 019LP) is buoyed by a formidable remix package, featuring Downwards affiliate JK Flesh - who turns in a caustic reinterpretation of FYI; Roly Porter of Vex'd and Tri Angle fame, who takes on Raw Food; and Planet Mu's Konx-Om-Pax, who reimagines Life Cycle. It's an admirable line-up, in keeping with the aesthetic concerns of Cohen's excellent LP - and the chosen artists turn in respectful but wholly personal work - making for an excellent addition to growing Parachute discography.
