Limited triple 180gm vinyl LP box set. 60th anniversary audiophile reissue of Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Cole Porter Songbook, the legendary 1956 recording which launched Norman Granz's Verve Records label. This album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2000, which is a special Grammy award established in 1973 to honor recordings that are at least 25 years old, and that have "qualitative or historical significance." In 2003, it was one of 50 recordings chosen by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. This vinyl box set includes three 180gm LPs cut from the original mono tapes by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound, and pressed and plated at RTI.
